This weekend Cannock Men's 1st Team have travelled to Bath as they begin to complete their preparations for their first league against University of Durham next weekend. They started the weekend very well beating the hosts 3-2 thanks to goals from Callum MacKenzie, Callum Stacey and Louie Morris.
Back at Cannock, North Staffs were visitors as they brought their 1s, 2s and 3s down the M6 to face our club 3s, 4s and 5s. Our 2/3rd Team lost 4-2 despite goals from Lewis Round and Joe Norwood.
Our 4ths lost 5-1 with Jack Rolfe socring, despite the heavy defeat their were some much improved performances from several young players which sets us up nicely for the season including a Cannock debut for George Collins and the welcome return of Henry Hudson after six years away. Karl Bayliss popped for a game as well!
The highlight of the day came from the 5th Team who won 3-2 thanks to a Callum McGarrie brace and Dave Wigg strike which also included returns for Andy Orford and Lee Marsh.
