Took up hockey at 14 at King's School Chester (same school as James Fair, so 2 great players from same alma mater ;) ). First club Wrexham, then Pilkington's, Chapeltown, Sheffield, Wombourne, Cannock since 1998. Captained Sheffield Hallam Uny. Played junior & senior county & North Wales a long time ago. Played in GB club finals for Pilkington's & English club finals for Sheffield. Spent many years out of the game. As a 'mature' player have loved playing for Wales Masters O50's in Home Internationals, European Cup 2011 & World Cup 2012. Captain of Cannock 6th team, 2012-13. Ask me about my injuries & prepare to be bored for hours! This is a great club, cummonthaknockerz!!!!

Gary Stacey

Role: U18 Head Coach

Captain of the newly promoted Men's 5th team.
EH Level 2 coach: - Cannock Boys U18 head coach, Staffordshire JAC, Birmingham Lynx JRPC, UK Lions.
EH Level 1 umpire.
Previously coached:- Shrewsbury HC men's 1st XI, Shrewsbury HC ladies's 1st XI.
Previously played for: Shrewsbury HC & Shropshire.

Alex Hill

Role: U16 Head Coach

Head Coach of Cannock U16s, a position which I have held since January 2010, and after guiding them to the National Indoor & Outdoor Finals last season, hopefully we can go one better this season and become National Champions. I also Coach within the Ladies Section having coached the 5th team in the 09-10 season and then progressed to the 3rd XI in 2010-11, a role I will take up again, for the third consecutive season. I also Coach within the Single System and am involved in both JAC and JRPC tiers.

Rob Davies

Role: U14 Head coach

Joined Cannock in 1995 after playing at Macclesfield, Alderley Edge and both Neston and Doncaster in the national League.
Have coached the juniors from 1996 - 2000 and 2010 - present. Have captianed the 3rd team, coached and managed the first team from 2000-2007.

Andy Hoare

Role: U12 Asst Coach

Introduced to hockey and the club following keen interest from my two sons Daniel and Dominic who are both members of the Junior section.

An active member of the Junior coaching and management team since 2008.

England Hockey Level 1 coach with experience of coaching U10s and currently coaching U12s.

Current U16 Manager and Badgers Manager.

Luckily my management and coaching skills are better than my hockey skills, but I enjoy playing the game and helping the young members of the club develop their skills and their enjoyment of the game.

Rufus Horn

Role: U10 Head Coach

Played at school as a forward (really!) but started playing seriously in 1985 as a keeper for Culm Vale HC in Devon (now Exeter and Culm Vale Hornets)
Played at college in Bath whilst training to teach but we only had a mixed side so also turned out for Bath Buccaneers HC and City of Bath HC. Severe knee injury, marriage and moving to the Midlands meant I didn't play for nearly 13 years.
Moved to Cannock in 2002 and started bringing my daughter Laurie to training aged 4. After a few sessions, Phil Gooderham got talking to me and with the words "What do you mean- you USED to be a keeper?" conned me into playing again.
He then got me coaching and I've coached the U8/9/10 age group since then. Have played in every team from 2nds (in a friendly when they were obviously VERY short) to 9ths. Played 5ths/6ths last season and got my first league winners medal at the age of 45!
My daughter Laurie plays for the ladies and Cameron is in the Badgers, both skilfull players who obviously inherit their hockey playing ability from the milkman...

Anna Kearney

Role: 1st Team Physio

You've probably seen me wandering around the club but never on the pitch with a stick in my hand, luckily I know what to do with a magic sponge and bag of ice! Looking forward to starting my third season of trying to keep the Men's 1st team in top shape but please contact/approach me to say hi/or if you need any physio input am happy to arrange treatment with any club members at a reduced rate.
