Cannock M1s 2 - 1 Boots HC

Spurred on by an excellent team performance last week, Cannock were keen to prove that they really have turned the corner in this league.

Not surprisingly, Boots were not so keen to allow Cannock free reign and the game became one of determination and dogged defence. After several chances thwarted by the Boots ‘keeper, Cannock finally broke the deadlock through a fierce close range volley by Jack England having fought his way almost single handedly through the D.  Cannock extended their lead through Danny Swinnerton only for Boots to pull a goal back late in the second half. A nervous three over time short corners were fiercely defended by the Chase Park side who were determined to take away all 3 points from the fixture.

Cannock M4s 1 - 5 North Stafford

Cannock Mens 4ths took a strong side to face North Stafford, confident in the knowledge that they were one of only 2 teams to have defeated the league leaders so far this season. However, they faced a very different side to the one that visited Chase Park earlier this season.
North Stafford had a side composed almost entirely of Uni students, whilst the average age of Cannock meant they were effectivel a Vet's team!
Canoock were unable to match the pace, skill and desire of their opponents. Cannock conceded 5 goals in total,  all either well constructed team goals or stunning individual efforts. Cannock struck back through Bruce Alcock,  who also had a penalty stroke brilliantly saved by the keeper.

POM - Dave Bradbury for his tireless effort in his return from a long term injury

Cannock L3s 4 - 1 Uttoxeter
Cannock travelled away to Uttoxeter, following a successful win last week, Cannock hoped to repeat that today. Cannock started strong, with a lot of attacking play. But they could not put the ball in the back of the net. Cannock went into half time 1-0 ahead.
Cannock came out fighting in the second half and managed to up their game, converting open play and a short corner. Great team effort to get another three points. Goal scorers - Stacey Fenton 2, Jude Hitchens and lucy Black.

POM - Ella Tracey.
