Cannock L1s 0 - 5 Nottingham Uni
A mixed weekend of results for Cannock ladies 1s. On Saturday they played against top of the league and undefeated Nottingham University. Despite hard work, good chances and strong desire Cannock lost 5-0 to the students.

Cannock L1s 4 - 1 Harbourne
Sunday saw the ladies play their rearranged game against Harborne ladies. Cannock dusted themselves down remained focused and took the game to them. Cannock came out 4-1 winners with a cheeky hatrick for skipper Sarah Martin

Cannock L2s 1 - 9 Stourpor
Cannock ladies 2’s had a tough weekend away at Stourport. With many players unavailable due to half term activities, some new faces were added.
Stourport started out strong pressuring every pass cannock made and it wasn’t long before they went 1-0 up with a goal in open play from a tight angle. Cannock found it difficult to get any time on the ball and were outnumbered in he Stourport half. Halftime saw the score line at 4-0.
In the second half there were more chances from cannock with a few break away plays in to the Stourport D. At 7-0 cannock managed to win a short corner and get one back for the away team with a great top D strike from Laura Swinscoe. Stourport managed another 2 before full time making the score 9-1.
POM - Charlie Thompson with some valiant defending.

Cannock L5s 0 - 6 Stone
Cannock Ladies 5s travelled early Saturday morning to play Stone 2/3s team. Stone came out strong and caught Cannock off guard scoring 5 in the first half. The 5s found their bearing and manage to hold the strong Stone side for as long as possible before Stone scored their sixth goal.
POM went to Kim Mccoll.

Cannock M1s 0 - 4 Harborne

This was always going to be a challenging fixture against top of the table Harborne, not least due to the inclusion of 4 players who had departed Cannock over the summer months to join the Birmingham side. Despite some determined play, Cannock were unable to break through the Harborne defence and had a number of short corners deflected wide.

Harborne broke the deadlock against the run of play and when they capitalised on a break away shortly afterwards, it was to prove too much of a mountain for the Chase Park side to climb.

Unfortunately late in the second half, a spectacular lobbed goal by Ed Martin was disallowed, judged to have been outside the circle which pretty much summed up Cannock’s luck in this tie.

Cannock M4s 5 - 0 Buxton
Cannock 4ths welcomed Buxton 3s to Chase Park in a return of the fixture that saw Nokkers loseout by the odd goal in a 9 goal thriller. This time different however. Buxton were a well drilled and organised outfit bit were no match for Cannock.
4 goals for Jonny Machin and one for Karl Bayliss saw the men from Chase Park deserved 5-0 winners.

POM  Jake Griffiths

Cannock M5s 3-10 West Brom 3s

With the regular captain away , the ever present Andy Hoare was stand in captain for the weekend so the team were left in good hands. Sadly despite Cannock's best efforts in the first half they could not stopped West Brom from scoring 7 times to make the score 7-0 at half time.

However it seemed Cannock regalvanized themselves and came out with fighting spirit, knowing they they could put in a lot of hard work for each other and the team did not disappoint ,drawing the second half 3-3 with goals from Dom hoare, Bradda and Pete.

Even though the score line was 10-3 it was great to hear there had been some very positive hockey played. One of the West Brom players scored 7 out of their 10 goals!!
MOM -  Chris Luke for stepping into goal to and saving a penalty flick
