Announcing the sad death of David Linford

David Linford

Cannock Hockey Club is sad to announce that David passed away on Friday morning 9th March. David had been a member of this Club for over 60 years. This was firstly as a player, a stylish full back, then as a Life Member, President and finally as Patron. His contribution to the Club in terms of time, effort and support was much appreciated. His financial support allowed the Club to develop the present facilities and importantly the world class pitches. It has been this unwavering support that helped the Club achieve all its success. A quiet but very determined man who always had the best interests of the Club at his heart.

This Club wouldn't be what it is without the generosity and dedication shown to it by David.

He will be very much missed.

Our deepest sympathy to Barbara and all his family.
