Sunday Success

After the Christmas break and the enforced 'snow days', hockey has made an attempt to return to normality. There was a valiant attempt by a few Cannock members to clear the pitches of snow but it was the power of nature that came to the club's rescue. As the rains deluged and the temperatures began to rise, the Cannock pitches reappeared.

Cannock 5ths were first to take to the field and came out 6-1 winners against Harbourne 4ths. In the meantime the First Team went to Sheffield Hallum in a mid-season friendly. Despite a lack of match play the Cannock elite came out winners 11-2. The forth Team headed for a late game at Beeston. This young side played some excellent hockey to come out 6-2 winners and hang onto top spot in the league.
