Staffordshire Boys U14 JAC Champions

Cannock Hockey Club was well represented in Staffordshire's victorious U14 Boys JAC squad at King Edward VI Grammar School on Sunday 19th May 2013. The end of season inter counties tournament featured seven counties with Staffordshire in Pool A against Derbyshire, Shropshire and Warwickshire. Staffordshire won all three games and faced the runners-up of Pool B, Nottinghamshire, in the semi final. Following a 3-0 win Staffordshire faced their earlier pool opponents Warwickshire, who had defeated Leicestershire in the other semi final, in the final. This game proved a much closer encounter than the pool match with Staffordshire securing a 2-1 victory with Cannock's George Nellist scoring the winner in the last minute.
Cannock JAC players were: Jamie Greenwood, Jordan Joiner, George Nellist, Jack Rolfe, Dany Swinnerton-Ions, Callum Warren.
Following the JAC tournament Jordan Joiner and Danny Swinnerton-Ions were selected for the Birmingham U15 JRPC squad.
