Cannock M1s 2 - 1 Market Drayton

We won 2-1. Dippa scored 2. The less we speak about this 70 minutes the better.
1 more win for the league title.

Cannock M3s 2 - 1 Telford

Cannock 3s welcomed Telford to EDA in the reverse fixture of the only game the Nockers lost before Christmas. Telford brought a strong side and Cannock were forced to play without veteran defender Nick Colclough who graciously volunteered to umpire with Dave Michael when no one else was available.
On a day when all seasons could be witnessed in the space of 70 mins, Cannock were also faced with a hurricane in the form.of Telford who clearly came here looking to take 3 points back to Shropshire. They forced a penalty corner which was well saved by keeper Rufus Horn but unfortunately a loose Telford forward snaffled the rebound to give Telford the lead.
This early setback stirred Cannock into action, with good  well structured attacks that brought a number of penalty corners and several scoring opportunities, keeping the visiting keeper busy.  Eventually, the home side were able to force an equaliser when Mark Cotterill finished off a well worked short corner.
In the 2nd half, Cannock took the lead almost immediately, when the impressive Lewis Bullman's mazy run provided Dave Wigg with his 32nd goal of the season. The game ebbed and flowed with opportunities for both sides but no further goals were scored. Cannock ground out a 2-1 win against a tough Telford outfit, a victory that was satisfying as it proved the side can still win games when they are up against it.
The win temporarily took Cannock back to the top of the table until Stafford won their own game later in the day. Cannock can still win the title if they win their remaining games including the fixture with their rivals from the County Town.
In a very impressive team performance, Dave "Bradda" Bradbury was named Man of the Match

Cannock L4s 0 - 0 WATS

Cannock Ladies 4s hosted WATs 5s at EDA,  with the home side keen to put on a good show after feeling unlucky to lose the away fixture. WATs brought a strong, young side who were on the attack from the outset, and the match featured end-to-end action. As the game progressed the ball was kept predominantly inside the WATs defensive 23, but Cannock were unable to work the ball into the goal.
