Cannock v Pakistan #2

Posted by Nobody on 20 July 2012

Cannock v Pakistan Game 2 Following on from Sundays first fixture, Cannock turned out a much changed team against the Olympics bound Pakistani's. As in the first game the Visitors looked sharper around the D's. Winning short corners and creating goal scoring chances. Cannock were competitive through the rest of the field but would hope ,with a solid Pre season behind them to show more teeth around the goal. Three of the Pakistan goals again came from PCA, with Sohail Abbas at his most effective. Another was a rebound after a good save from Paddy Smith in the goal. Cannock regularly got into the final quarter of the pitch but were wasteful around goal and rarely posed problems for the Keeper. The game was our first view of our new England U21 International defender Peter Jackson, recently signed from Birmingham University. With a final score of 5-0 in favour of Pakistan, both teams enjoyed an after game meal of rice, curry and nan breads so kindly prepared by the local Pakistani Community. Cannock hope that Pakistan have enjoyed their stay in South Staffordshire, and wish them every success in the upcoming London Olympics. Pakistan take up their accommodation in the Olympic Athelete Village on Sunday.
