YOUR CLUB NEEDS VOLUNTEERS FOR EVENTS
As you can see we are due to host a number of events. We do not yet have full details but we will need volunteers to help. In the past we have been grateful to those members who have given their time. We will need volunteers to help with various tasks such as:
| • organise and supervise the car parking |
| • sell programmes and/or tickets |
| • sell refreshments |
| • help with the barbecue |
| • ballboys / ballgirls |
| • pitch stewards and watering |
| • general ground security |
Our requirements will depend upon the numbers expected and the arrangements agreed with the organisers of the events.
We now have to plan for these events so the Club is asking all members to indicate their availability for the days of the events. You may already have seen the poster on the notice board. More volunteers help us to share out the load. Can you give a morning or afternoon or more? This effort helps raise valuable funds for the Hockey Club and also brings extra business to the Main Club. The events are:-
National Schools Girls Finals Wed 29/02/12 – Fri 02/03/12
Boys & Girls U16 Finals Sat 31/03/12 & Sun 01/04/12
EHL Promotion Tournament Sat 14/04/12 & Sun 15/04/12

Nat Mini Finals & EH Cup Finals Fri 11/05/12 - Sun 13/05/12

Cannock Hockey Club's £100 Club
Im back again with another new fundraiser aimed to make money for Cannock Hockey Club but also give members a chance of winning big amounts of cash if your prepared to make a small gamble!!!!
The game is simple.
40 People - Each are given a seperate number at random.
The Number chosen is the lucky winner and if thats your number you win £100.
The gamble - are you prepared to put £5 into the pot?
Please Support - We shall launch this at the weekend. I will be around the Club most of the day.
A massive thank you to all those that entered the £100 club this weekend (28/29th Janaury), the £100 Club will return at the end of February (25/26th Feb). Our First Lucky Winner was Greg Bloomer as he turned £5 into £100.

Chase Park are looking to appoint a self motivated individual to join the team at the club with a primary objective to develop income through new bookings and events. Commission will be paid based on individual bookings and income generated from events. The right person will have use of club office and will be able to develop offers via our customer database and client list as well as finding new customers.
- Experience in the sales field will be advantage but not essential as will web design and development.
- This is a commission only position.

JUNIORS DO CLUB PROUD!
Cannock U18s and U16s were both crowned Midlands Indoor Champions on Sunday 11th December after both winning their respective Midlands Rounds and both now go through to the Nationals in January 2012.
The U16s beat Beeston 4-3 thanks to goals from Louie Morris, Jeevan Dhanda, Reece Jecketts and George Myatt. Then after going two goals down against Belper they prouduced a brilliant second half performance to win the game 3-2 thanks to goals again from Jeevan Dhanda, Reece Jecketts and George Myatt.
Cannock U18s beat Sutton, Bromsgrove and Leek in the group stages of their competition and then faced Belper in the Semi Final who they beat 2-0 to qualify for the Nationals. In the final they came from 4-3 behind in the last minute to win the game 5-4 against old rivals Beeston to be crowned Midlands Champions.
Well Done Boys. You have done your club proud.

Thursday 29th December: XMAS FUNDAY SUCCESS!
A massive Well Done to all the players that took part in the Xmas Funday on the 29th December, it was a great day for all involved and blew away some holiday cob-webs and got the Christmas turkey fully out of the system! The day was enjoyed by all and raised around £550 in just one day! £300 which went to the Main Club who, as ever, supplied great food for after the game. More Events like this helps the club survive and keeps membership proces down! Happy New Year ALL!
Sunday 5th February: 1ST TEAM RETURN TO ACTION!
Sunday 5th February will see Cannock 1st Team return to action with a 4th Round Cup Game away at local rivals Beeston, if you have the time please go along and support the lads as they look to bring a trophy back to Chase Park this season. Cannock U18s are also in action in the U18s EH Cup as they host Bridgnorth at Chase Park on Sunday morning, 11am push back.

SUMMER OF SUCCESS!
Hatherton, one of the three teams entered into MSHL (Mercian Summer Hockey League) by Cannock HC this year, went the summer unbeaten, meaning have not lost a summer league game since the summer of 2009! Winning the league again in style. Congratulations to all involved.
