Defeat in the first round of the England Over 50s Cup meant qualification for the Plate competition for Cannock's Vinatage XI which in turn brought about a trivky trip to Sutton Coldfield on a pleaseant sunday afternoon in late November.

Cannock put a good fight however could not steer away from defeat as they lost the game 4-3 and in turn were out of the competition.
