A young Cannock 8th team hit by injuries and unavailability travelled to Bridgnorth on Saturday and came away with a 4 - 1 victory against stronger and older opposition.

Starting with only two players above 17 on the pitch Cannock dominated the early encounters but struggled on a difficult surface to move the ball quickly. Completely against the run of play Cannock went behind when a defensive mistake allowed a shot to be deflected past keeper Shakespeare.

Cannock continued to pile on the pressure and missed some clear cut chances whilst the home town keeper made some fine saves. The visitors drew level when Steve Parker finally beat the keeper just before half time.

In the second half Cannock moved forward strongly and ran out comfortable winners with Parker completing his hat trick and Fleet adding one to a total which realistically showed have been more.
