The young 5th team came up against another young team in Worcester 5ths, and after losing top spot last week they were determined to gain it back against a mid-table Worcester.

Cannock edged the opening exchanges and tried throughout the first half to make their breakthrough, however, this never came and the first half ended with no score.

The second half started poorly for Cannock, after about 5 minutes they were behind after some poor defending, and although they had some decent possession, they never looked like scoring. Cannock continued to push to the end, but Worcester forced a second and made the game comfortable.

This was Cannock's second defeat in a row after a great set of results, next week they play the mouthwatering challenge of Cannock 6ths which will surely be an interesting affair, however, if they don't want to be embarrassed they must sort out their passing and defending quickly before they lose touch with the top sides in the division.
