Cannock started the new season at home against Old Halesonians 4th's. The visitors started the better and took an early lead but this helped ignite Cannock to start playing which lead to a well worked short corner, that resulted in a goal for Tim Butler.

Cannock then had a lot of ball but couldn't turn it into goals and some poor passing lead to a second goal for the visitors.

Cannock tried to turn it round but were shell shocked when Old Halesonians scored yet another goal to make it 3-1. Cannock still pushed to get back in the game and won several short corners but failed to penetrate the visitors goal. Having pushed up to get a goal, Cannock were left open at the back, and Old Halesonians scored again in the last few minutes to make it 4-1

Cannock need to bounce back next weekend away at Stourport.
