In what has become a roller coaster year for the fourth team, with no real consistency to their play, they entertained the league leaders Beeston on a fresh Saturday morning.

Cannock started started well showing some good touches. This good work was undone though, when Beeston scored two goals in as many minutes after some poor Cannock defending. The visitors then made it 3-0 at half time with a breakaway goal.

After stern words at half time, Cannock improved greatly, having most of the play but being unable to find the crucial pass in their opponents 25. Clarke Drew pulled a goal back via a drag flick from a short corner but the game finished 4-1 after Beeston were gifted the ball in the final few minutes.

Hopefully, the post-match banter between the Cannock players will hit home ready for next week.

With two tough games befor the break, Cannock languish in mid table obscurity and need to step up their performances greatly.
