Cannock travelled to Edgbaston looking to improve on their recent performances and started well putting pressure on their opponent's goal from the start on a slippy pitch. Cannock opened the scoring when a well worked short corner was deflected goalwards by Jamie Daniels and hit a defender on the line and the resulting stroke was converted by Richard Jones. Edgbaston always compete well and levelled via a series of deflections through the D. The visitors took a 2-1 lead into the break thanks to Dan Beck's perseverance as he forced the ball home.

Cannock started the second half well and went 3-1 up when Will Fleet converted another short corner after exchanging passes with Dave Wigg. However, they then struggled to keep hold of the ball and invited pressure on themselves and Edgbaston made it 3-2. The visitors then had to show character and made the game safe with Dan Beck adding his second late on.

The fourths showed they know how to play some nice hockey and will be looking forward to hosting Beeston next week.
