Cannock played host to Leek in their second league game of the season and started brightly forcing several short corners but were unable to convert this pressure into goals. The home team continued to dominate the remainder of the first half and took a deserved lead when Ed Martin scored. Cannock then seemed to get frustrated with their lack of goals and the play became rushed and so it was 1-0 at the break.

The second half followed the first with Cannock denying Leek the ball but being unable to convert this pressure into goals. The home side were finally able to increase their lead when Clarke Drew fired home a reverse stick shot and now playing a more relaxed and patient game they got a third with Ed Martin scoring his second of the match.

A good performance from the Fours to maintain their good start to the league; let's hope they bring their shooting sticks for next week!
