Cannock 3rds travelled to face Birmingham University 3rds having already secured their 3rd Team Premier league title and were drawing 1-1 at half time in a tight contest. The students took a 2-1 lead but Cannock could have been better placed as they failed to convert a number of penalty corners.

The game change when Manveer Dhanda had to leave the pitch after receiving a cut to his head. When the game resumed it was Cannock whose concentration was missing as Birmingham scored 3 times in 4 minutes to claim a slightly lob-sided win. James Foster scored Cannock's goal with a fierce strike.
