Cannock thirds entertained a spirited Lichfield side, and showed in the first half what they are capable of as a team.

In a change to their normal structure, mainly due to an abundance of strikers, Jamie Roberts was placed at centre-half, and distributed the ball well to Sam Mee and Paul Watkins. Manveer Dhanda, brought into the side from the 4th team showed great determination and spirit to drive the game forward.

Cannock went three goals up quite quickly, and followed these with another two before the break; unfortunately there was no further score in the game, much to the chagrin of Captain Spencer.
