Cannock travelled to play Loughbrough Town on the unfamiliar territory of Soar Valley College due to issues over a new surface that has been laid at Loughbrough University. It did not take long for the side to settle with two quick goals within three minutes from newbie to the side Ed Martin. Cannock scored two further goals in the first half including a hard low strike into the corner from Watkins. HT 0-4.

The half-time discussion focussed on poor movement and concentration from front players in and around the D when in possession. A formation change gave Cannock a more fluid approach and more goal scoring opportunities that were converted by the impressive attackers Watkins, Martin and Bandurak.

Nine goals were added in the second half with team captain Spencer also off the mark for the season with a deflection into the roof of his own net giving Loughbrough their first goal of two.

Cannock return to Leicestershire for a head-to-head with the student population of Loughbrough this coming Saturday.
