Cannock 2nds clinched consecutive Midlands 2nd Team League titles with victory at home to Lichfield 2nds on Saturday.

Two matches remain but Cannock 2nds are now in an unassailable position following a 14-3 win. Having already taken a comfortable lead, Cannock were reduced to 10 men following an injury to Phil Bailey.

Goalkeeper David Kettle discarded his pads to play as a forward augmenting the attack where Dave Harris led the way with 7 goals. Tom Hyde bagged a hat trick, with a brace each for Chris Drewe and Paul Harris whose 2nd goal was a bullet of a shot from the top of the D.

The 2nds are now just 4 goals short of 150 for the season.
