Cannock 2nd XI 2 - 1 Loughborough Students 2nd XI

After last week's upset losing 5-4 at Bournville, BodyKraft Midlands 2nd Team League Premier Division leaders Cannock needed to improve when facing Loughborough Students 2nds at home. With many other games frozen off, a band of helpers ensured that this game could go ahead and it was Cannock who went ahead courtesy of a fine Dave Harris strike.

Cannock were on top but could not create many opportunities in a curiously lacklustre game, even so it was a shock when Loughborough equalised thanks to a fine opportunist strike of their own.

The second half saw an improvement in the hockey and both sides had one or two more chances. Cannock were the better team but their winner came from a Loughborough attack. Tom Hyde broke through and played in Dave Harris to slide in his second goal and claim a big win for Cannock.
