Cannock entertained Belper at the Morris ground on a cold and windy day. A good start from Cannock saw them create chances but with a poor end product the opposition keeper was rarely tested. It was actually Belper who opened the scoring against the run of play. The first half continued to be a scrappy affair with Drewe grabbing a brace before Belper equalised to go into half time at two a piece.

Cannock started the 2nd half with renewed vigour knowing that the performance in the first half had not been good enough. An inspirational ten minutes from Tom Hyde saw him grab three goals in quick succession which took the game away from Belper and allowed Cannock a little more freedom in attack. The game was closed out with Dave Harris grabbing a couple of goals from penalty corners.

Next week Cannock travel to Birmingham Uni for a top of the table clash. Cannock will have to be at their best for the whole game if they hope to get something from this fixture.

Cannock also welcome back Stu Gooderham back into the team after he injured himself, pruning his bush a couple of weeks ago!!
