We are now in the final stages of securing CCDP funding for replacement of the carpet on pitch 2. After several meetings with England Hockey and Sport England, and after several specifications being drawn up, we have sent out formal tender invitations to a number of contractors and are awaiting their return. We have had to show a certain level of self-funding to make up the difference, and thanks to the generosity of several members we are well on the way.

I would like to thank Bob Purshouse, Ken Bedford, Ian Macpherson and Laurie Alcock for their hard work in working with the bank to devise a business plan, working on tender specifications, collating membership information and developing our Club plan. It has been a fantastic effort in such a short space of time, if we do get the go-ahead for the pitch, you should take the time to thank these true CLUB MEN!!!

We still need more funding however, so if you are able to make a donation or help in any way please contact or me.

There is a meeting today at Milton Keynes with Sport England and England Hockey, which could give us the green light to start work at the end of the season, so fingers crossed.
