Cannock travelled to Stone on a bitter morning without seven regular players who had been called up to play for senior sides. This left four regulars to join forces with six from the younger Badgers B team, plus two 'senior pro's' in Andy Edwards and Mike Shepherd.

From the start it looked like an uphill task, as Stone took the lead, and looked like adding to the score on a few occasions, but Captain Lewis Round took control with limitless energy and built pressure on the Stone defence, resulting in a short corner. The ball found its way to Jon Machin, who levelled the score.

The good teamwork was carried on, and Josh Edwards struck the ball sweetly from the edge of the D into the net to make it 2 -1 at half time.

After the break, Cannock looked like a different team, as Stone levelled the score, but after a while the team settled again and had several good chances to win the game, without success.

Special mentions go to Dan Hoare, Dan Amos, Oliver Edwards, Edward Carr, Callum Swinnerton-Ions and Jeevan Dhanda who all played very well in difficult conditions.
