Junior training started last night at Cannock and saw well over 100 training in the early evening sunshine.

There were some teething troubles as times had changed due the replacement of the water based pitch, but the majority of players managed to attend.

Junior Chairman David Michael said "this is fantastic for a first night, with over forty under 9's and 11's, at this rate we will need another pitch!"

It is hoped that over the season, several of the National League squad will come and run specific sessions for the children.
