CANNOCK JUNIORS NEED YOUR HELP!
The Achievements
Congratulations to our U16/U18 boys on reaching the National Finals of their respective competitions. Finals are being held on 10/11th April at Cannock .
Congratulations to our U14 boys who have qualified for the Regional Finals which will take place at Stourport Hockey Club on 11th April.
Congratulations to our U12 boys on reaching the Regional Round on 2nd May at Repton
Congratulations to our U12 (Girls) and U10 (Mixed) who have progressed to the Regional Rounds.
Congratulations to our Juniors who have progressed through to the JAC.
Congratulations for all the Juniors selected for County and Country and to the Coaches who have helped make this possible.
The Requirement
We are keen to support our Juniors our Coaches and the Club to ensure the success of all for the future.
So…..what do we want? We are asking for volunteers. Volunteers to help raise funds for our Junior Section.
If you can:-
- Bake cakes for our cake sales
- Spare an hour to man the cake/sweet stall at our home competitions
- Sponsor a month for our 2011 calendar personal/business
- Bring us ideas for raising funds
- Sponsor a promotional board around the pitch
- Provide a service/skill to help us generate funds
- Join our fund raising committee
- Donate raffle prizes
- Donate tombola prizes
- Donate £1M
- Bring your child along for a ‘Bag Pack' at the Supermarket
- Send in outgrown kit to sell off.
- Bring in bags of old clothes/shoes ‘Bags to Clubs'.
All offers of help be it time, ideas, cakes, gifts, sacks of cash will be gratefully accepted.
The Start – From Little Acorns
We have over the last two weeks started selling cakes and sweets at the club on a Thursday evening and from 1 st April we are selling names for a £1 to win the ‘Hockey Player'. Many thanks to everyone who has purchased so far and helped us raise just over £100. Initially the money is to be used to help with the Presentation Evening on14th May. Our next step is to get things in place for our 100 Club, Junior Hockey Festival and Fun Day, 2011 Calendar and more………we will keep you posted.
Our Aim
Our aim is to ask your children's Coaches for a ‘Wish List' of things they need to help the Junior Section e.g. Goalkeepers Kit, hockey balls, a villa in the Caribbean….. and try with your help to raise funds to meet some of these wishes.
Our success is due to past contributions and for that we thank you.
