Club “Stroitel” (Brest) was founded in 1988. Since 1989 till 1992 a team was taking part in Soviet Union tournaments in the Highest league. Since 1993 it has been taking part in Belarus tournaments. From 1996 till 2004 the team became A Champion of Belarus in field hockey. The team won A Cup of Belarus in 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999 – 2004. Since 1996 “Stroitel” has been taking part in the international tournaments. In 1996 in Switzerland the team won a golden medal at European Cup Tournament (Division C). In 1997 in Wales “Stroitel” won a golden medal at European Cup Tournament (Division B) and was promoted to the division A. Then in 1998 in Holland took the fifth place in the same division (Division A). In 2001 in Belgium the team won the second place at European Trophy tournament (division B). In 2004 it won the first place at European Challenge Tournament, and, although, became A Champion of Belarus in indoor hockey. In 2005 “Stroitel” took part in the European Indoor Hockey Challenge (II) – Men Hameenlinna, Finland 18TH – 20TH February 2005 and the team was promoted to the Trophy division (Division B). Then “Stroitel” took part in the 32nd European Hockey Trophy for Men 2005 12th – 15th May 2005 and was promoted to the Cup division (Division A). In 2006 the club played in the Men Indoor Club Hockey Trophy 17/19 February 2006 Eindhoven, Netherlands and the club remained in the Trophy division. |
